The railroad operating environment is subject to extremes of temperature, heavy loads, and vibrations. Loose fasteners are a constant focus of maintenance crews, and are responsible for setout and repair costs borne by the equipment owners. Fastener failures have also contributed to equipment damage and derailments.

Stage 8 staff includes personnel with railroad mechanical department design and repair program experience, as well as maintenance program management. Our people have experience from the AAR/FRA/RPI Track-Train Dynamics Program, as well as the AAR Truck Design Optimization Program (TDOP).

Stage 8 has designed an entire product line of solutions for critical railroad applications that have a dramatic impact on reduction of life cycle costs, and increase in safety.
