There are many factors that contribute to loose column wear plates, including surface condition at the bolt head and nut face, bolt hole tolerance, and wear plate embedding into the casting surface. The Stage 8 bridge system eliminates loosening nuts of the column wear plate mounting hardware from that list of factors.
